Branch Manager

Recruitment Pursuits have an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Branch Manager to join an established Recruitment Agency who are experts at dealing in the logistics sector. You will be able to demonstrate a proven background in Logistics Recruitment.

Job Function

  • Day to day management of a team of 2 consultants and 1 account manager
  • Cold calling and warm sales including door stepping
  • Deliver desk growth through existing, new and lapsed clients. Proven track record required.
  • Perform service visits and reviews with current client base.
  • Set and monitor KPIs for desk staff, undertake one-to-ones and take disciplinary action where necessary including PIPs (Personal Improvement Plans)
  • Undertake annual employee appraisals
  • Exceed branch budget annually
  • Undertake new business visits
  • Organise and manage on call rota (and be personally part of that rota)
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and deal with any queries or complaints swiftly
  • Compile weekly branch figures and attend Monday conference call to explain branch performance
  • Manage underperforming members of staff
  • Achieve and exceed personal KPIs set by Regional Ops Manager to include new business and client visits
  • Negotiate rates and rate increases with new and existing clients
  • Roll out any new legislative and internal initiatives such as IT systems
  • Pass all internal and external audits
  • Organise and attend peak planning meeting with key clients and devise and deliver roll out plans where required
  • Analyse weekly margins and investigate and amend and discrepancies and rectify low or incorrect margins


Additional requirements:

  • Work additional hours including weekends where business need dictates
  • Visit clients out of working hours when required
  • Entertain clients (mainly evenings and weekends)
